Service Description
Intended for: Delegates who are looking to go into or are already in the role of a PICW. This course will provide an in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a PICW whilst on site. Introduction: This course will explain in depth the roles and responsibilities of a PICW. Provide knowledge and practical based scenarios which will allow the PICW to manage a worksite effectively along with health and safety whilst out on site. Content Knowledge & Practical: Your part within the CDM Regulations Your roles and responsibilities on site General Site rules and requirements How to report Near Misses, Accidents and Incidents Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and supporting documentation Various site types and key health and safety considerations Significant hazards and controls The costs / impacts of failure Effective delivery of site inductions Effective communication / coordination with contractors Effective engagement and management of site visitors Effective Dynamic Risk Assessment (DRA) Effective setup and control of Exclusion Zones Entry Requirements: Delegates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to take part in the course. The delegate must also be going into or be at PICW level for this course. Assessment Method: This course consists of two main assessments. Theory assessment and practical assessments, which is ongoing through the course, which will be used to measure the delegates competency at the end of course. All delegates are subject to ongoing assessment throughout the course to ensure progression. Certification: On successful completion of this course, the delegate will receive a PICW Certificate valid for 3 years.
Cancellation Policy
Circet endeavours to meet specified training dates, and reserves the right to alter dates subject to operational constraints: • Where a course is cancelled by the Academy, a full refund or course transfer shall be offered In the event that a delegate is unable to attend a booked training course, the Booking Form cancellation terms apply: • Cancellation prior to the commencement of training shall incur the following charges: • Between 14 and 7 working days: 50% course cost chargeable • Within 7 days: 100% course cost chargeable • All cancellations must be made in writing (email). In the event of non-attendance on the day of training, the full cost of training shall be chargeable • Delegates who fail to complete a course shall be charged at the full rate
